Description: Alexander palms are a larger palm that can be used in smaller spaces because of its sleek, tall form. Alexander palms are self-cleaning palms and are highly prized for ease of care since aged fronts fall off by themselves. These palms often grow to an ultimate height of 20-25 feet, and prefer full to part sun locations, although they will grow in part shade. Alexander palms are often used as a stand-alone specimen, as a large container plant, and as a lining for a driveway or property border.

Maintenance & Care: Alexander palms are self-cleaning, which makes them very low maintenance.  Dead fronds fall off on their own and these palms need to be watered on a regular basis. Alexander palms need to be fertilized 3 times a year (spring, summer, and fall) to keep the fronds full and deep green.
