Description: The Foxtail palm is very popular for its perfect promotions and self-cleaning, full, and rounded fronds. Foxtail palms are available in single or multi-trunk specimens. Foxtails are fast growers, reaching an ultimate height of approximately 30 feet. These palms like plenty of sunshine and are moderately drought-tolerant and salt-tolerant once established. Foxtail palms are typically used in landscapes as stand-alone specimens, to line a walkway or driveway, and as a large anchor for a garden bed.

Maintenance & Care: Foxtails are heavy feeders and need to be fertilized using a granular palm fertilizer containing micronutrients 3 times a year (spring, summer, and fall). Regular watering is preferred for Foxtails, even though these palms are moderately drought-tolerant. These palms are self-cleaning as old fronds fall off on their own, never needing to be trimmed.
