Sun Exposure: Part Shade to Full Sun
Description: This classy palm is incredibly hard and low-maintenance. Sylvester palms are slow growers and find an ultimate height of about 40 feet. Sylvester’s trunks have diamond-shaped leaf-base scars that are unique. This palm has silvery blue-green fronds that contrast more typical greenery. In landscapes, sylvestnis are typically used as a centerpiece or as an accent piece.
Maintenance & Care: Sylvester palms are drought-tolerant once they are established and need to be watered during dry spells is regular watering is not available. These palms need to be fertilized 3 times a year (spring, summer, and fall). Browned fronds need to be trimmed as needed, which won’t be often since palms grow slowly.
