Sun Exposure: Part Shade to Full Sun

Description: Travelers palms are plants that grow to be enormous, with huge leaves sprouting from long stems into a fan-shaped pattern. These plants can grow very tall and takes up its of space. Travelers palms have a fast growth rate until a trunk develops, then the plant settles into a moderate growth pace. These palms prefer full sun, although they can handle part shade. Travelers palms are used in landscapes as a single large specimen, as a large accent plant, or to anchor a garden bed.

Maintenance & Care: Travelers palms need regular water and the leaf branches need to be trimmed off as needed. Travelers palms need to be fertilized 4 times a year (spring, summer, fall) using a quality, all-purpose or palm fertilizer.
